Version 1.1.248

Locate from preview
You can now locate samples directly from the preview section using right-click + locate.
Fixed
- Solved an issue that could cause the bottom most samples to auto-scroll out of the visible browser area.

NRRW Link routing
While linked, NRRW now defaults to routing audio through the plugin. After extensive testing, it has shown to be the more reliable and accurate method for syncing with any project, without the need for manual corrections. Using NRRW’s own output while linked is still possible by setting “Route audio through plugin” to Off in the app settings. This will provide faster and more responsive playback, but may occasionally need manual offset adjustments inside the plugin to compensate for drifting position data.
Also new
- The NRRW Link plugin window shows an output level meter if audio is ran through it.
- The waveform and MIDI preview show a loading state while waiting for the DAW’s audio to come through.
Fixed
- The “Sort roman numeral notation” setting now requires multiple degrees amongst several samples to take effect.
Version 1.1.239

Samples appear up to 20× faster
Loading and rendering samples has been vastly improved, especially for larger libraries. It has been redesigned to work directly on compact UTF-8 data and integer IDs instead of scanning lots of words and manipulating full path strings. As a result, opening folders and searching for samples has become a lot faster.
Window settings
You can adjust the behavior of the app window itself in the app settings. You can now keep it floating on top and allow the window to automatically unfocus itself after successfully dropping a sample into your session (even with the float setting on).
Manual offset for NRRW Link
In rare cases, certain DAWs don’t handle plugin delay compensation properly, causing the playback position data to drift internally. This has an effect on the accuracy both inside the DAW (e.g. for automation data), as well as the position data NRRW receives. Instead of compromising playback by routing the audio engine through the DAW, a new manual offset control has been added to the plugin so playback can still be synced up when there is a drift in the data.
Also new
- The export pop-up automatically hides itself after successfully dropping the sample into your session.
- Playback automatically pauses after successfully dropping the sample into your session. This can be turned off in the settings.
- Both play and pause now follow the DAW once playback is linked. Pausing or stopping playback in NRRW will unlink it.
- Settings now include info icons, which provide more information when clicked.
Fixed
- Scroll view centering is now more accurate.
- Navigating large search results is now more responsive.

Transpose & Stretch
NRRW can now transpose and stretch your samples using the new sync section. Turn on sync, set a target key and/or BPM, and samples automatically adjust to match the targets.
NRRW Link plugin
Connect the browser to your DAW of choice using the NRRW Link plugin (AU/VST3). When linked, tempo and playback are automatically synced to your session.
Reverse & Export
Flip any sample with one click, MIDI clips included. Turn your transposed, stretched or reversed sample into a usable audio or MIDI file with the export feature.
Also new
- Improved key and BPM detection across the board.
- Loop toggle to loop any sample containing tempo information.
Fixed
- On some systems the cache expired after a short period of no use, causing a full re-index upon launch rather than only indexing new files. The index should now remain cached unless an update flags a re-index. Note that this update itself will trigger a re-index of your library; the fix should be noticeable from then on.
